How to Balance?
On average, water represents about 60% of an adult’s body weight and is important for all around vital body functions. Everyday our body loses 2.5 liters* of water though urine, breathing, sweat and feces.! For our body to function properly, we must compensate for this water loss. Each individual should consider his/her physical activity, body weight, size, gender, age, and other factors to help determine the recommended amount of water to maintain the water balance.

Good hydration goes hand in hand with a healthy lifestyle!

The Consequences of Inadequate Hydration
If the amount of water one eliminates is not compensated by an appropriate amount of water intake, signs of dehydration may occur:
  • Feeling Thirsty
  • Less amount of urine
  • Darker urine color
  • Feeling tired
  • Headaches
  • Dry mouth
  • Dizziness
  • Impact to cognitive functions such as attention, alertness, and concentration

In certain circumstances you should drink more water:
  • Physical activity
  • Hot temperature
